Job Title: Automotive Emissions and Dynamometer Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking Emissions Technicians who will focus on EPA testing for mileage and emission standards. As an Associate Technician, you will demonstrate basic knowledge, skills, training, and learning ability that you can use in other Engineering organizations. This entry-level technician position is for individuals with little or no experience but with some formal education in a core skill area. In this role, you will handle basic project assignments with supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and perform emission testing on vehicles.
- Evaluate results and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive vehicles on the dynamometer as part of the testing process.
Required Qualifications:
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization.
- Emerging partnership and teamwork skills with the ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in trade or automotive.
- Understanding of Global Manufacturing System principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup.
- Experience with AVL, Horiba, or Burke Porter systems.
Work Environment:
- On-site position with 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week (4x10 schedule).
- Shift options: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, with schedules from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.
- No remote work possibility.
- No travel requirements.
- Physical requirements: DOT compliance.
- Driving requirement: Yes, as part of the job function.
Salary Range: $18-$21
